As an author, pacing and structure are critical elements of your manuscript.

 

Poor pacing and structure can make it challenging for readers to stay engaged, while well-crafted pacing and structure can keep readers on the edge of their seats.

In Fiction, pacing is all about character arcs, suspense, dialogue, conflict.

In Non-fiction, it's all about the learning curve the reader goes through.
